The Interuniversity Consortium of Structural and Systems Biology aims to promote and coordinate research, and other scientific activities and applications in the field of structural and systems biology among the universities that form the Consortium. This favours collaboration among participating universities and other research institutes and/or industries on the one hand, and on the other it favours their access to and their possible participation in the management of the National Laboratories of Structural and Systems Biology, according to the norms of this Constitution.
The Consortium has its registered office in Rome and other premises with research units in participating universities and laboratories. The Consortium is under the supervision of the Italian Ministry of Universities and Scientific and Technological Research (also known as MIUR).
